Who can use Screencastr

You must be at least 13 years old to use Screencastr. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission. By using this service, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

Screencastr is provided by MegatronLabs. We reserve the right to refuse or terminate access to anyone who violates these terms.

What you can use Screencastr for

Screencastr is designed for legitimate screen sharing — demos, remote help, presentations, collaboration, and similar uses.

What you cannot use Screencastr for

You may not use Screencastr to:

• Share, distribute, or display illegal content of any kind
• Share, solicit, or distribute child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — this is a criminal offense and will be reported immediately to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement
• Target, groom, exploit, or expose minors to harmful content
• Harass, threaten, or intimidate any person
• Share content that violates another person's privacy without their consent
• Impersonate another person or organisation
• Attempt to intercept, tamper with, or reverse-engineer the service
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose under applicable law

Peer-to-peer nature of the service

Screencastr uses WebRTC to send video and audio directly between participants. We do not route, store, or have access to the content of any session. This means:

• We cannot monitor live sessions
• We cannot recover or produce recordings of past sessions
• You are solely responsible for what you share and who you share it with

Because sessions are private and direct, only share your PIN with people you trust.

No warranties

Screencastr is provided "as is" without any warranty, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the service.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MegatronLabs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of, or inability to use, Screencastr.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will update the date at the top of this page when changes are made.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
